Healthy Healing Using Native American Principles
Inspired by an ayurvedic healer who has practiced with local Native Americans for the past 20 years, the Mojave Rain treatment at Qua Baths & Spa inside Caesars Palace uses ancient principles to cleanse the body of impurities.
The 75-minute detox and balancing service is based on Navajo healing techniques and starts with burning either sage or cedar to clear the room of energy. Nine essential oils—each containing its own specific healing property to aid digestion (sage and basil), ease food cravings (oregano), or relieve stress (cedar wood and peppermint) and pain (wintergreen)—are then dripped down the spine and applied with a light massage.
“If you’re not feeling rested or you’re not your optimum self, this is a great treatment to get balanced and renewed,” says spa director Chrystal King.
